New flooring changes how a whole room feels. Interiors of Idaho installs hardwood, luxury vinyl plank (LVP), laminate and tile flooring for homes in Boise, Meridian, Nampa and across the Treasure Valley, from a single room to an entire floor, on its own or as part of a remodel.

Hardwood flooring

Solid and engineered hardwood bring warmth that is hard to match, and a well-kept wood floor can be sanded and refinished years from now. Tell us which rooms you are considering, what is there now and whether you are drawn to a particular species, width or finish.

Already have hardwood that looks tired? Hardwood floor refinishing may bring it back without replacing it.

Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) and vinyl flooring

LVP is a popular choice for kitchens, basements, laundry rooms and busy households. Products vary widely in thickness, wear layer and water resistance, so bring the product name if you have one. Its installation instructions set requirements for the subfloor, transitions and expansion space that should be part of the plan.

Laminate flooring

Laminate offers a wood look at a range of price points and usually installs as a floating floor. Ask how the product you like handles moisture and which rooms it is rated for before you commit.

Tile floors

Tile is a durable choice for bathrooms, entries and laundry rooms. See tile and shower installation for floors, shower walls and backsplashes.

What happens before the new floor goes down.

  • Removing the old floor. Carpet, vinyl, tile or wood may need to come out first. Ask what removal is included.
  • The subfloor. Most flooring manufacturers set flatness and moisture requirements. The condition underneath can change the scope.
  • Transitions and trim. Doorways, stairs, baseboards and the edges where one floor meets another deserve a plan.
  • Furniture and appliances. Agree ahead of time who moves what and which rooms will be unavailable.

Our materials guide explains common flooring terms in plain English. Deciding between materials? Compare LVP, laminate and hardwood room by room.

Flooring questions

Can new flooring go over my existing floor?

Sometimes. It depends on the existing surface, the added height at doorways and cabinets, and the new product’s installation instructions. The team will look at what is there before recommending an approach.

I already bought my flooring. Can you install it?

Tell us when you get in touch and share the product information, quantity and where it is stored, so suitability and installation requirements can be confirmed.

How is flooring installation priced?

Mainly by the area, the material, removal of the existing floor, subfloor preparation, stairs and transitions. Compare estimates on the same scope rather than on a headline total alone.
